About Minghou Cattery

Our love for animals has been a lifelong passion. As a child, I grew up in a household full of Pekingese dogs. I routinely showed these dogs in junior showmanship and continued breeding and showing them until after George and I were married. I learned about animal husbandry through the years and even took a few courses in vet tech. In order to supplement my breeding and show activities, I became an all breed groomer. We continued this until a family illness forced us to stop in the late 1970s. In the spring of 1989 we purchased our very first Siamese cat, strictly as a family pet. It didn't take long before we fell hopelessly in love with this breed. In 1996 we purchased our first breeding queen. "Eveleth Cowles" of Katsura Cattery is credited for what has happened since. Eveleth became my mentor, and soon we were developing a breeding program and showing on a regular basis. It has become the main focus in our lives, giving our cats and kittens plenty of tender loving care.

"Minghou Cattery" is registered with CFA and we show our cats in CFA exclusively. We are also a member of the CFA Siamese Breed Council.
